Having completed phase 1 in the late 90’s, the original brief was to link this to the existing outbuildings to the north, with a lightweight building connecting the two. Through discussions with the contractor and negotiations with planning the decision was made to take down the existing stone outbuildings and to build on their footprint, re-using the existing stone in the walls of the new build. The new building forms a separate accommodation unit from the main house and can be accessed independently from the east.
